Scarless robotic surgery tested for rectal cancer recovery

NCT ID NCT06454201

Summary

This study compared two robotic surgery techniques for middle rectal cancer. Researchers wanted to see if a newer 'scarless' method (where the tumor is removed through a natural opening) is as safe and effective as the standard robotic approach. They looked at 150 patients to measure complications, pain, and recovery time after surgery.
