Robot surgeons put to the test in delicate chest operations

NCT ID NCT05150210

Summary

This study is testing a new, single-port robotic surgery system for removing parts of the lung (for cancer or benign disease) or the thymus gland. Researchers want to see if surgeons can complete these delicate chest operations using only this robot, without having to switch to traditional open surgery or other methods. They will also track any complications patients experience in the first 30 days after surgery.
