Robot surgeon tested for safer hernia operations
NCT ID NCT07071740
Summary
This study tested a new robotic surgical system called DEXTER for repairing abdominal hernias. It involved 33 adults with small to medium hernias to see if the robot-assisted procedure was safe and could be completed without switching to traditional open surgery. The goal was to confirm if this minimally invasive approach works well for patients.
