Robot seal offers comfort to scared kids in hospital ICU
NCT ID NCT06854562
Summary
This study is testing whether a therapeutic robot named PARO can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in children and teenagers (ages 8-18) who are hospitalized in intensive care units (ICUs). Researchers will compare the robot's effects against a regular stuffed animal and against standard hospital care alone. The goal is to find new ways to improve the emotional well-being of young patients during a very difficult hospital stay.
