Robot buddy boosts therapy for kids with cerebral palsy

NCT ID NCT07283211

Summary

This study tested whether adding a friendly, interactive robot named NAO to regular occupational therapy could help children with cerebral palsy improve their hand and arm skills for daily tasks. Sixteen children participated in a 14-week program where the robot demonstrated activities like eating or brushing teeth and gave encouraging feedback. Researchers measured the children's physical abilities and emotional responses to see if the robot made therapy more engaging and effective.
