First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether letting a child interact with a social robot during wound dressing reduces their fear and pain. Sixty children aged 5 to 10 were split into two groups: one group played with the robot while getting their wound dressed, and the other received standard care. Researchers measured fear and pain using child-friendly scales before and after the procedure.
