Robot hands assist surgeons in precision reconstructive procedures

NCT ID NCT04843436

Summary

This study monitored the safety and performance of a robotic system called Symani when used by surgeons for delicate reconstructive procedures. It involved 427 adults who needed surgery to repair blood vessels, nerves, or lymphatic ducts, often after cancer, trauma, or for conditions like lymphedema. The goal was to see how well the robotic system worked in real-world surgical settings and to track any complications.
