New cholesterol fighter enters first human tests
NCT ID NCT07347678
Summary
This is a very early study to check the safety of a new experimental drug called RN5681, which is designed to lower 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) and another fat particle called Lp(a). It will test single doses in 60 healthy volunteers to see how their bodies react to and process the drug. The main goal is to find out if the drug is safe and well-tolerated before it can be tested in people with high cholesterol.
