First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new cream called RLS-1496 for actinic keratosis, a rough, scaly skin patch that can turn into skin cancer. About 24 adults will apply the cream to one forearm daily for 28 days, leaving the other arm untreated for comparison. Researchers will check safety and whether the cream clears the spots.
