Summary
This study compared the safety and effectiveness of the oral blood thinner rivaroxaban against standard anticoagulants in 75 children (ages 2 months to 18 years) with cerebrosinovenous thrombosis (CSVT), a rare type of brain vein clot. The goal was to see if rivaroxaban could normalize blood flow in the veins without causing dangerous bleeding. The study is completed, but results are not yet reported.
