Summary
This study tests a new form of rifaximin, an antibiotic that stays in the gut, to see if it can improve brain health in people with dementia. Researchers will check if changing gut bacteria affects inflammation and other markers. The study involves 20 adults aged 65 and older with mild to moderate Alzheimer's or vascular dementia.
