New surgical technique aims to get patients home faster after colon surgery

NCT ID NCT03862781

Summary

This study is comparing two different ways surgeons can reconnect the bowel after removing part of the colon. Researchers want to see if one technique helps patients pass gas and have bowel movements sooner after surgery, which could lead to shorter hospital stays. The study involves 125 adults scheduled for minimally invasive right colon removal surgery.
