New hope for breast cancer patients: drug combo aims to prevent return

Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug ribociclib to standard hormone therapy can prevent breast cancer from returning in people whose cancer came back in the same area (locoregional recurrence). About 200 adults with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer will receive this combination. The main goal is to see how many remain cancer-free after 3 years.
