Breathing and rib cage therapy could ease stiff necks
NCT ID NCT07133646
Summary
This study tested whether two hands-on physical therapy techniques could help adults with ongoing neck pain. Researchers worked with 100 participants to see if gently mobilizing the ribs and releasing tension in the breathing muscle (the diaphragm) could reduce pain and improve neck movement. The goal was to address potential root causes of discomfort, not just the symptoms.
