Summary
This study tests a school-based program to prevent rheumatic heart disease in children. It involves 6,000 children aged 5-16 in schools in Nepal and Zambia. The program uses school nurses to educate about the disease, identify and treat strep throat, and help children who need preventive antibiotics.
