New drug trial aims to shield vulnerable transplant patients from deadly fungal infections

Summary
This study is testing if a new intravenous drug called Rezafungin works as well as or better than the current standard medications to prevent dangerous fungal infections. It involves 602 adults who are receiving a donor bone marrow transplant for conditions like leukemia. The main goal is to see if patients taking Rezafungin can stay free of fungal infections and survive just as well as those on standard care.
