NCT ID NCT07548346

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether removing blood clots from the brain's veins (endovascular thrombectomy) plus standard blood-thinning medication works better than medication alone for people with severe cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). The trial will enroll 440 adults aged 18-65 who have had symptoms for up to 21 days and are at high risk of poor outcomes. The main goal is to see if more people achieve functional independence 12 months after treatment.
