First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two types of replacement heart valves (self-expanding vs. balloon-expandable) in 111 people whose surgically implanted aortic valve has stopped working properly. The goal is to see which valve type works better at restoring normal blood flow. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two valve types during a minimally invasive procedure.
