Doctors test reusing cheap scopes in nepal to fight costly bile duct stones
NCT ID NCT07285447
Summary
This study looked back at past surgeries to see if reusing a cheaper, disposable medical scope was a safe and effective way to find and remove stones from the bile duct. It involved 75 patients in Nepal, where expensive equipment is often unavailable. The goal was to gather evidence on whether this low-cost approach works well and avoids complications.
