Major trial tests new drug to ease debilitating symptoms of rett syndrome

Summary
This study is testing an oral medication called Bionetide to see if it can improve symptoms and communication abilities in girls and women with Rett syndrome, a rare genetic neurological disorder. It is a Phase 3 trial enrolling 210 participants aged 5 to 20. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks to compare effects on behavior, communication, and overall function.
