Summary
This study looks at whether using a liquid called perfluorocarbon (PFCL) during retinal detachment surgery changes how the retina shifts after reattachment. About 292 adults with a detached retina that affects central vision will be randomly assigned to surgery with or without PFCL. The goal is to see if PFCL reduces visual distortions like wavy lines or blind spots after the eye heals.
