Tiny camera reveals hidden retina cells
NCT ID NCT05643157
First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested a new electronic camera that can see the cells of the retina in much finer detail than current clinical cameras. Five people with retinal disease (inherited degeneration or toxicity) had their eyes imaged to compare the new camera with standard instruments. The goal was to better understand changes in healthy and diseased retina cells, not to provide treatment.
