Eye surgery study aims to reduce Post-Op vision distortion
NCT ID NCT07495319
Summary
This study compared two common materials used to support the retina after surgery for a detached retina. In 78 Pakistani patients, researchers checked if using a gas bubble or silicone oil inside the eye led to less shifting of the retina after surgery, which can cause distorted vision. The goal was to help surgeons choose the best option to improve patients' final vision quality.
