Summary

This study tested whether resveratrol, a natural compound found in grapes and peanuts, could help teens with type 1 diabetes who also have early kidney damage. Sixty participants aged 12–18 took either resveratrol tablets or no supplement for six months. Researchers measured blood sugar control, cholesterol, and a kidney injury marker to see if resveratrol offered any protective benefit.
