Could a natural compound from grapes protect young Diabetics' kidneys?

NCT ID NCT07332819

Summary

This study tested whether resveratrol, a natural compound found in foods like grapes and peanuts, could help control kidney damage in young people with long-term type 1 diabetes. For six months, 60 teenagers with early signs of diabetic kidney disease either took resveratrol pills or received no supplement. Researchers measured blood sugar control and kidney health markers to see if the compound made a difference.
