First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 06, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how different breathing muscle training methods affect patients who are struggling to come off a mechanical ventilator in the ICU. Researchers will measure changes in muscle strength and structure using pressure tests, ultrasounds, and small muscle samples. The goal is to find the best training approach to help patients breathe on their own again.
