New study tracks Kids' respiratory infections from birth to age 5

Summary

This study follows 1,088 newborns in Colombia and Panama until age 5 to learn what causes respiratory infections and why some children get sicker than others. Families report symptoms twice a week and provide samples during illnesses. No treatments are tested—the goal is to gather information to help prevent and treat these infections in the future.
