First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study checks if a new method (Respiration from Pleth) can accurately measure breathing rate using standard pulse oximeter sensors in adults and children. About 113 hospital patients will wear sensors on their finger, ear, or nose while their breathing is also measured with a capnography device for comparison. The results are only for research and will not be used to guide patient care.
