Summary
This study looks at whether adding resistance training (like squats and pulling exercises with weights) to standard cycling workouts can improve fitness and muscle mass in women with coronary artery disease. Fifty women who have had a heart attack or heart procedure will take part in a 12-week cardiac rehab program, doing either cycling alone or cycling plus weight training at normal or slow speed.
