First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study is testing how reproducible a special PET scan (using [18F]Florbetaben) is for detecting amyloid deposits in the heart. Researchers will scan 15 adults—some with cardiac amyloidosis and some without—twice to see if the results are consistent. The goal is to improve imaging methods, not to treat the disease.
