Scientists hunt for genetic reasons behind recurrent miscarriages and stillbirths
NCT ID NCT04207814
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study aims to find genetic factors that may cause repeated miscarriages (three or more in early pregnancy) or unexplained fetal death later in pregnancy. Researchers will compare DNA from 200 couples who have experienced these losses with DNA from couples who have not. The goal is to confirm earlier findings and identify new genetic markers that could explain these tragic events.
