New heart procedure tested for stubborn irregular heartbeat

Summary

This study is testing which of two types of medical catheters works better for a repeat heart ablation procedure. It involves 200 adults whose atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) has returned after one previous ablation. The goal is to see which tool is more effective at re-isolating the problem heart tissue to control the condition.
