NCT ID NCT06783296

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a procedure called renal denervation, which uses energy to calm overactive kidney nerves, to see if it can safely lower diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number) in people with isolated diastolic hypertension. About 124 adults who have never taken blood pressure medication will be randomly assigned to receive the real procedure or a sham (fake) procedure. The main goal is to check blood pressure changes over 6 months and see if some participants can avoid needing daily pills.
