Can remote training teach lifesaving skills? study tests online ultrasound lessons for paramedics

NCT ID NCT06824675

Summary

This study tested whether emergency medical service (EMS) providers could learn to use portable ultrasound as effectively through remote, online training as through traditional in-person classes. Researchers compared the two teaching methods with 90 EMS workers from Austria and Hungary who had little prior ultrasound experience. The goal was to see if high-quality remote training could help provide critical skills to responders in rural or underserved areas.
