Healing from afar: can remote touch ease the wait for a transplant?

NCT ID NCT07394660

Summary

This study tested whether remote Reiki, a complementary therapy, could help people waiting for an organ transplant feel less hopeless, tired, and in pain. Thirty adults on long-term dialysis were randomly assigned to receive either remote Reiki sessions or no Reiki. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could improve their well-being while they wait for a donor.
