First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a system that lets doctors monitor patients' blood sugar and vital signs from home after they leave the hospital. The goal was to see if this remote monitoring could prevent emergency room visits and readmissions for people with unstable blood sugar levels. 40 adults who had blood sugar problems in the hospital participated. The approach used a continuous glucose monitor and a vital signs patch to alert healthcare staff to problems early.
