Hospital sends patients home with wearable monitors to catch blood sugar drops before they become emergencies

NCT ID NCT05746286

Summary

This study tested whether sending patients home with wearable devices that continuously monitor blood sugar and vital signs could prevent emergency room visits and hospital readmissions. About 40 adults who were hospitalized for blood sugar problems wore the devices for 30 days after discharge. Doctors remotely monitored their readings to catch potential problems early and provide guidance before they became serious.
