Daily scale check could keep heart patients out of hospital
NCT ID NCT05098665
Summary
This study tests whether having patients with cardiac amyloidosis (a serious heart condition) monitor their weight daily at home can help prevent hospital admissions. When weight increases indicate fluid buildup, doctors will contact patients to adjust medications. Researchers will compare this remote monitoring approach to standard care in 320 patients to see if it reduces hospital visits and improves outcomes.
