First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether people having laparoscopic gastric bypass can go home the same day if they use remote monitoring (wearables and a smartphone) instead of staying overnight. Forty adults aged 18-65 will be randomly assigned to either standard care or the remote monitoring pathway. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, feasible, and cost-effective, without increasing complications.
