Wrist watch for the heart: study tests remote monitoring for cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT03838627

Summary

This study tested if a commercially available wrist-worn fitness monitor (WHOOP®) could reliably measure heart rate and heart rate variability from home for survivors of Hodgkin lymphoma who had chest radiation. The goal was to see if the home monitor's readings matched those from a standard in-office medical device. This information could help researchers better understand and monitor long-term heart health in cancer survivors.
