New heart sensor aims to keep patients out of hospital

NCT ID NCT07442903

Summary

This study is testing a small, implanted sensor that continuously monitors pressure in the lung artery to help manage heart failure. It will be used in 30 patients with severe tricuspid valve leakage who are scheduled for a minimally invasive valve repair procedure. The goal is to see if this remote monitoring can help doctors adjust medications early and reduce the need for hospital stays after the procedure.
