Heart patients skip clinic visits with new remote monitoring system

NCT ID NCT03405740

Summary

This Canadian study is testing whether people with implanted heart devices can be safely monitored remotely instead of traveling to specialized clinics. 1,115 participants with cardiac arrhythmias will either use a new remote monitoring system or continue with standard clinic visits. The goal is to provide high-quality care closer to home while freeing up specialized clinics to focus on more complex cases.
