App aims to cut clinic trips for cochlear implant users
NCT ID NCT06543953
Summary
This study tested a smartphone app designed to help adults with cochlear implants manage their hearing devices from home. The app allows users to update settings, run system checks, and create backups, potentially reducing the need for frequent in-person clinic visits. Researchers evaluated how well the app worked and how safe it was for 120 participants who already had compatible MED-EL implants.
