Video calls aim to boost heart health at home
NCT ID NCT07413419
Summary
This study tests whether remote video counseling sessions can help people with heart failure and their family caregivers better manage daily care. Over 12 months, trained nurses will hold regular video calls with 300 patient-caregiver pairs to provide support and motivation for sticking to medications, diet, and symptom monitoring. The goal is to see if this support improves daily self-care, quality of life, and reduces hospital visits compared to standard medical care alone.
