Remote care for hearing implants: same results, less travel?

NCT ID NCT05552118

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with cochlear implants can manage their follow-up care remotely instead of going to the clinic. About 148 adults who have had their implant for 3 months will either use a smartphone app for check-ups or visit the clinic as usual. The goal is to see if remote care keeps hearing ability similar while saving time and money.
