Zap your brain at home? trial tests remote stimulation for speech loss

NCT ID NCT07260253

Summary

This study is testing whether a home-based brain stimulation device, used alongside virtual speech therapy, can help people with a specific type of progressive speech loss called logopenic variant primary progressive aphasia. Researchers want to see if this remote approach is practical and if brain scans can predict who might benefit most. Participants will use the device at home during therapy sessions, comparing real stimulation to a placebo version.
