Home tech trial aims to catch dangerous blood pressure spikes in cancer care

NCT ID NCT06364748

Summary

This study tested whether using a remote monitoring system to track blood pressure at home works better than a paper logbook for cancer patients taking a specific drug (bevacizumab) that can raise blood pressure. It involved 20 patients to see if the remote system helped patients stick to daily checks, helped doctors spot problems faster, and if patients found it easier to use. The goal was to improve the management of this common and serious side effect of cancer treatment.
