Summary
This study looked at whether giving remifentanil, a fast-acting painkiller, during emergency breathing tube placement can prevent a dangerously fast heart rate. 75 fragile patients who needed rapid intubation were given one of two doses of remifentanil. The goal was to see if it safely controls heart rate during this critical procedure.
