NCT ID NCT05928286
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether a drug called Remaxol can help people with gallstones and a serious complication called obstructive jaundice. Obstructive jaundice happens when a gallstone blocks the bile duct, causing yellowing of the skin and eyes. The study involved 286 adults who were scheduled for two surgeries to remove the blockage and then the gallbladder. Researchers wanted to see if giving Remaxol around the time of surgery could shorten the jaundice and lower the risk of complications.
