Enzyme cartridge aims to help ICU patients digest food
NCT ID NCT05710315
Summary
This study is testing if a device called RELiZORB helps critically ill adults with multiple organ failure better digest their tube feeding. The device contains digestive enzymes and attaches to the feeding tube to help break down fats. Researchers will compare it to a placebo to see if it helps patients meet their daily nutrition goals and reduces feeding interruptions over five days.
